SARASWATI PUJA 

 ON 5TH FEBRUARY, 2022

All the teachers, staff and students of class IX - XII were cordially invited in batches keeping in view COVID-19 safety protocols to attend this program. The school campus was beautifully decorated with traditionally made Bandhanwars using marigolds, and mango leaves and a photo booth having a life - sized Veena and a holy book as the background.

All the attendees came together to worship goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, Art and Music with great devotion. The Purohit conducted the puja and Aarti and all teachers and staff joined in together.

The fragrance of flowers and the aroma of the burning camphor in lamps filled the  environment with peace and positivity.

A group of teachers gathered and sang devotional bhajans which gave life to the celebration.

The program came to an end with distribution of Sweets and Prasad among all.

 

Saraswati Puja

In view of Corona pandemic, this year we at VKV, Dibrugarh decided to let go off the usual celebration ways and keep the Saraswati puja celebration a low-key affair.

All teachers and staff gathered in the morning of 16^th February, 2021 for the puja, followed by students clad in colourful attire that joined in a little later for offering puja and be blessed with knowledge and abundant wisdom by the divine Goddess.

A group of students chanted mantras and sang bhajans in the background during the puja which reverberated the surrounding.

A small yet sweet celebration ended with distribution of prasad.

Saraswati Puja

Goddess Saraswati is worshipped for inspiration to do excel in the field of literature, music, arts, maths and sciences. All institutes and organizations associated with education celebrate and observe Saraswati Puja or Basant Panchami.

Keeping the tradition alive our Vidyalaya celebrated Basant Panchami with fervour on February 10^th, 2019. Basant Panchami is an occasion which also marks the onset of the spring season. It is also celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom. Sri R.M.Thakre, Vice Principal, VKV Dibrugarh along with the teachers of our Vidyalaya paid floral obeisance to the idol of Goddess Saraswati. 

Parents also attended the puja led by a learned pandit in the school premises, all the students prayed to Ma. Saraswati, goddess of knowledge, seeking blessings by chanting Saraswati Vandana and Bhajan to mark the occasion, the assembly hall was well decorated with flowers which brought life to the puja celebration. Khichdi delicacies were served as Prasad among the devotees.

Devotees paying obeisance to the Goddess Saraswati

Saraswati Puja is celebrated in VKV, Dibrugarh on 22^nd January, 2018 with traditional fervor in the Vidyalaya premises to pay allegiance to the Goddess of knowledge, learning, arts and culture. Devotees including students, well-wishers and parents in great numbers flocked to the Vidyalaya in their best attire to pay obeisance to the Goddess. Puspanjali was also offered to the serene Goddess seated on a swan under the guidance of a Pujari. The devotees were enthralled by the continuous chanting of the hymns in the traditional way. The Puja was conducted to augur enriching powers and faculties of the students in the field of creative arts, learning and science. Students, Teachers, Parents and Well Wishers about 2100 (approx) were present in the festivity to pay their respect to the patron of music, culture and learning. Khichdi delicacies were served as Prasad among the devotees.

Devotees including students, well-wishers and parents in great numbers flocked to the Vidyalaya in their best attire to pay obeisance to the Goddess. 

Puspanjali was also offered to the serene Goddess seated on a swan under the guidance of a Pujari. Students, Teachers, Parents and Well Wishers about 2350 (approx) were present in the festivity to pay their respect to the patron of music, culture and learning. 

Khichdi delicacies were served as Prasad among the devotees.
